Amino acid sequences were aligned with MUSCLE and the tree compiled using RaxML. Numbers above branches refer to bootstrap values above 50%. The various classes of CAD are shown based on previous research, including the sinapyl alchohol dehydrogenases (SAD), which share some specific activity with CAD [40,41].
